About the Event
The Run For A Million
The Run For A Million is one of the most prestigious western performance horse events in the country, bringing together elite competitors across reining, cow horse, and cutting to compete for a major purse. The event draws the top riders from each discipline and serves as a showcase for the highest levels of western horsemanship.
For fantasy purposes, The Run For A Million is the event that powers all scoring in the Fantasy Run For A Million game. Results from the event's reining, cow horse, and cutting classes are used to calculate fantasy points for each participant's selected team.
Three Disciplines, One Event
The Run For A Million spans all three western performance horse disciplines that make up the Fantasy Run For A Million game. Each discipline operates under its own governing body's rules and judging standards, with results aggregated to determine fantasy team scores.
Reining

Reining OverviewCow Horse
NRCHA-format competition across reined work, fence work, and cow work phases. Final placing is determined by composite score across all three classes.
Cow Horse OverviewCutting
NCHA-format competition in which riders separate cattle from the herd and allow the horse to work alone. Judged on difficulty, control, athleticism, and time management.
Cutting OverviewHow the Event Feeds Fantasy Scoring
As official results are posted from each class at The Run For A Million, the Fantasy Run For A Million scoring engine calculates points for every participating fantasy team based on how their selected riders finished.
